The search process at Gerard Knight Recruitment is based on well defined procedures designed to ensure the successful completion of client assignments. The whole process is governed by the necessity to establish and develop effective communication at all times between the client, the Gerard Knight consultant and the candidates.
The search process includes:
Agreement of the job specification with the client.
Agreement of lines of communication between the Gerard Knight Recruitment consultant and the client which will include HR officials, line management, COO's etc.
Investigation of Gerard Knight Recruitment's research database.
Extensive enquiries about possible candidates using market contacts.
Through our network and database search, Gerard Knight Recruitment will identify and approach potential candidates.
At this stage, candidate interviews can take place by a Gerard Knight Recruitment consultant.
Preparation of candidate short list.
Arrangement of candidate interviews with the client.
Briefing candidates prior to the client interviews.
Ensure information flows between the client and candidates
including relaying feedback and news updates to both parties when required.
Advice to preferred candidate including negotiation of compensation, terms of employment, acceptance of offer and the resignation process.
Recent mandates we have been awarded include successfully helping a top tier investment bank develop their Corporate Solutions franchise within the Nordic / Scandinavian area by recruiting a highly sort-after marketer from a competitor.
We were also successful in helping an upper tier two investment bank find and recruit a Head of CVA Trading and a senior CVA Trader for their new European market. This is a new area which deals with the risk associated with dealing with counter-partys and is not limited to the investment banking industry. As a research within the area are in very high demand so securing these two senior traders was a significant achievement for us.
Other senior hires we have been involved in include successfully finding and recruiting on behalf of two second tier clients, a European Head of Swaps Trading and a senior UK interest rate marketer.
